Mrs. Heiser's class did a fun learning activity using graphing paper to play Battleship. The different teams called out formulas which the opposing team had to graph out in order to see if their ships were hit.

Please see the attached message regarding inclement weather. Thank you!

A message from the GRMS coaches to parents:
Due to the below freezing temperatures at night with this arctic cold front this week, athletic buses will depart the Gordon-Rushville Middle School at 5:30 PM for the week. According to the forecast, the weather should be better by next week so the bus can resume leaving at 6:00 PM. Again, this only impacts current athletes.
Thank you!

Mr. McKimmey's Animal Science class learned about meat glues(specifically Transglutaminase) used in food manufacturing. It is a naturally occurring material taken from blood plasma that allows more of the animal to be used in foods such as steaks, nuggets, fillets, soy, and many other everyday foods. The students made their own steaks using the glue and they had to decide what was a natural steak and what was a glued steak after grilling. (Most chose wrong)They also learned how to make their own bratwursts.
