About Us

  Gordon-Rushville Public Schools is a consolidated district. Our district covers 2300 square miles consists of one 9-12 high school located in Gordon, a  6-8 middle school located in Rushville and two K-5 elementary schools including Pre-K located in Rushville and Gordon. Schools in the district are NCA and NDE accredited.  With a high poverty rate, bordering a socio-economically impacted area, we are striving to positively impact student populations geographically and economically. Gordon-Rushville Public School District has an enrollment of approximately 700 students and serves a population that is one fourth Native American. We have an Alternative High School and courses offered through distance learning and other modes of technology. Our staff and students actively work with mentoring programs to build relationships, develop cultural awareness and promote positive choices. We are proud of our ethnic diversity and the achievement of our students and staff.
Map Our District

We are a Class C1 school and belong to the Western Trails Conference. Competitive activities offered at the high school include: Football, Cross Country (Class D), Volleyball Girls and Boys Golf, One Act Play, Instrumental and Vocal Music, Speech, FFA, Girls and Boys Basketball, Wrestling, Boys and Girls Track, Mock Trial and Quiz Bowl
Activities offered at the middle school level (7-8) include:
Football, Cross Country, Volleyball, Instrumental and Vocal Music, Girls and Boys Basketball, Wrestling, Boys and Girls Track



School’s Purpose

The members of the Gordon-Rushville school community are committed to helping all students to become well-rounded leaders, both academically and physically.  As a diverse community we work to ensure that every student is guided and assisted to achieve his or her goals.  We share the vision of creating a system that enables every student to meet or exceed rigorous standards for academic performance.  GRPS is committed to providing our students with the tools needed for the fast moving changes of technology.  The district remains diligent in challenging our students to develop ownership for their own lifelong learning.
